Bar chart ranking Canada's top goods export categories by value, led by motor vehicles, against 556.6 billion dollars in total 2025 exports.

Canada exported $556.6 billion in goods in 2025, with motor vehicles ranking as the second-largest category and the largest of the three sectors named in new US Section 338 tariff proclamations covering autos, alcohol and dairy. About $20 billion of goods fall under the disputed tariffs, roughly 3.5% of total exports. US customs calculates the looming Friday deadline by entry date rather than ship date, so goods already sitting in a bonded warehouse can still clear at the pre-tariff rate if withdrawn before the cutoff.
