The TSX slipped 46 points to 36,792.41 Thursday, extending its retreat from Tuesday's record close of 36,957.63. CIBC fell 3.8 per cent, the sharpest decline among the day's bank reporters, even after beating profit estimates, while a rebound in oil revived inflation worries that weighed on rate-sensitive stocks. TD Bank was the exception, rising 0.8 per cent on the week's strongest profit growth, 38 per cent.
