Three sessions decided the week. Wednesday's drop and Friday's rebound tracked banks and gold miners almost move for move. On Thursday, Brent rose about 4% and energy shares gained, but large banks fell on rising yields, leaving the index only slightly higher. Friday's jobs report showed a September loss of 68,300 positions, which eased pricing of a Bank of Canada hike.
