Canada Revenue Agency inflation data already published makes a $500 increase to the annual Tax-Free Savings Account limit mathematically certain for 2027, months before the agency formally confirms it. The increase would be the fifth since the program's 2009 launch, following a mix of no-change years and one-time boosts. It arrives alongside a capital gains inclusion rate held at 50 per cent, after a proposed increase to two-thirds was permanently cancelled in March 2025.
