WTI crude eased slightly Tuesday after Iran's Foreign Ministry signalled that international mediators had proposed easing tensions with Washington, the first concrete de-escalation signal in roughly two weeks. The pullback follows Yemen's Houthi rebels declaring a maritime embargo against Saudi Arabia, threatening the Red Sea route Riyadh has used to reroute oil exports around the separately disrupted Strait of Hormuz. Despite today's dip, oil remains up 30% since the ceasefire collapsed and 26.2% over the past year, showing the conflict premium is still largely intact.
