Chart showing Monday's cross-asset moves, with energy shares lagging even as broader equity futures, bonds, and gold rallied.

US equity futures pointed broadly higher Monday, with S&P 500, Nasdaq, and Dow futures all gaining, as risk appetite improved on the same de-escalation signal that sent oil sharply lower. The TSX Composite, which closed Friday at 35,369.10, gained on real estate and financial strength even as energy names lagged ahead of Cenovus's Wednesday earnings. The Government of Canada 10-year yield eased to about 3.61% as softer energy-driven inflation expectations worked through the bond market, while USD/CAD barely moved despite the scale of the oil move.
