Oil touched a six-week high of $92.19 on Thursday after Houthi forces struck Saudi tankers, then eased on reports of Pakistan-brokered mediation between the parties. The pullback still left crude with its strongest weekly gain since the war began in February, even as prices remain well above the roughly $69 level that prevailed before the conflict started. Markets are now watching whether the mediation reports mark a lasting de-escalation or another pause in a pattern of on-again, off-again diplomacy.
