Every major asset traded higher Tuesday after a strike on the Caspian Pipeline Consortium terminal disrupted exports from Kazakhstan, one of the world's largest crude suppliers. Gold gained 2.14% and WTI crude 2.20%, both more than twice the move seen in the TSX, S&P 500, Dow, and Nasdaq that session. The strike landed alongside a separate Houthi embargo threat against Saudi Arabia and a reported tanker strike near the Strait of Hormuz, widening the conflict's supply disruption to three chokepoints on three different bodies of water in a single day.
